COURSE CALENDAR AND CONTENTS (2010-2011)

Venue: Balfour Collegiate, College Avenue, Regina

Time: Sunday, 2:00PM – 4:00PM


We will use audiovisual teaching method (smart class, recorded lessons, printed lesson notes, projector and loud speakers, etc.) to enable our students learn Igbo language faster and in an effective way. This course comprises 22 lessons and 9 written or oral expression quizzes. Our method includes in-class grammar drills, pronunciation and conversation activities, and recorded lessons that students can access from their homes.

SEPTEMBER 19, 26 AND OCTOBER 3, 2010

Lesson 0: Introduction to Igbo School Online + Locating course materials. Lesson 1: Igbo Alphabet + Igbo Nouns + Parts of the human body. Lesson 2: Counting: Numbers from 1 to 50. Lesson Notes and Quiz one. 

OCTOBER 17, 24 AND 31, 2010

Lesson 3: Introducing Yourself + Subject Pronouns + verb "ibu" + professions. Lesson 4: Introducing other people + written composition + saying place of origin + asking questions. Lesson Notes and Quiz Two.

NOVEMBER 7, 21 AND 28, 2010 

Lesson 5: Verb "icho" (to want) + Present + Progressive + Profession. Lesson 6: More on verb Icho + Inwe and other verbs + Proverbs + Culture. Lesson Notes and Quiz Three.

DECEMBER  5, 2010, JANUARY 16 AND 23, 2011 

Lesson 7: Greeting. Lesson 8: More on greeting + culture + song + idiom + proverbs. Lesson Notes and Quiz Four.
